• The Urantia Book (sometimes called the Urantia Papers or The Fifth Epochal Revelation) is a spiritual and philosophical book that discusses God, Jesus, science, cosmology, religion, history, and destiny.
• It originated in Chicago, Illinois, USA, sometime between 1924 and 1955. The circumstances surrounding its publication are matters of speculation.
• The authors introduced the word "Urantia" as the name of the planet Earth and state their intent is to "present enlarged concepts and advanced truth" in an "endeavor to expand cosmic consciousness and enhance spiritual perception."

I would begin by saying, "The book is 'a' thing. An absolutely amazing thing." It is the seed that will grow into an 'epoch' designed and mandated on Uversa. It's purpose is at no risk of being unfulfilled. It's true meaning to this world has firmly taken root in the hearts and minds on Urantia, and will never leave.

When the thoughts of an Urantian mind becomes adjusted to the teachings of The Urantia Book, that mind will inevitably, and by design, experience a new found capacity to transcend those teachings.

This transcendance will manifest in many ways, but the most amazing are what happens to the thing within us, the thing nearest to our creature being; our 'personality'. Signs of this trancendance are things like...

...being immune to disappointment and of genuine 'good cheer' always.
...being secure in knowing who, what, when, where, why, & how we are.
...being driven to uplift the inhabitants of this sphere and beyond.

And most glorious will be...
 
...being able to truly discern the will of 'Our Father' from all other will.

This does not mean that the world around such a transcended person suddenly becomes perfect. On the contrary, the world remains just as trying and imperfect as it was before. What does change is the way in which one lives in it. That 'way of living' is what the 'epoch' will be remembered for.

The institutions and agencies that make this their ministry serve us well, but when the collective mind on Urantia sees the value of Cosmic Citizenship, the whole planet will become adjusted very rapidly, and everyone will have the opportunities for a Universal Enlightenment that before only came from reading and assimulating The Urantia Book.

If one considers The Urantia Book as a 'primer' or 'mind adjustment' one will certainly come to the conclusion that there is so much more to life than those revelations could disclose in one little book, no matter how intense or repleat it may appear to be.

The book was not designed to change a world, it was designed to change people. The change this world holds as it's destiny will not come solely from institutionalizing the teachings of 'The Urantia Book'. It will and is coming from a comparitively small band of 'Cosmic Minded Citizens', of origin on this sphere. These citizens are completely, by their own will, controlled by their 'Thought Adjusters'. They do what God might do. They think what God might think. They love like God might love. They see the world like God might see the world.

Enlightenment in this little corner of the universe can occur without the information the Urantia Book provides, but never before have so many people on Urantia been 'adjusted' to Universal and Cosmic mindedness as there is today thanks to God and these Revelations.
